A critical part in the divorce process is getting the Respondent (Your Ex Spouse) served personally by hand with your Sealed Application. If you don’t know how to find them, this can make getting them served tricky, that’s where Skip Tracing comes in. Skip Tracing is the function of utilising known information (name, DOB, phone number & previous addresses) for a Subject (your ex spouse for example), in order to find their current location. To do this we undertake various online and offline searches, paid database searches and utilise publicly available information to confirm a physical location for your ex, so you can get them served with that Divorce Application, and finally be able to move on with your life.
How long does this take? How much does it cost? Each case is different and there is no guarantee that the Subject will be successfully located, some Subjects are too slippery for even the best Skip Tracer. Most often we are able to track down a subject within a short space of time (a few days to a couple of weeks), while in some instances, we exhaust all avenues for tracing a Subject with no discernible result.
